Git Fishing is a little projected I started in March of 2020. My goal is to share fishing tip’s & trick’s and other stuff I’ve learned over the years and see what it becomes…and go from there. I also plan on sharing other entertaining and useful fishing related content/media & useful fishing related products.

To give you some insight about my fishing background.
I started bass fishing and fishing in general back in 1979.
I caught my first bass on an artificial lure( a popular inline spinner called a rooster tail) in Washington State at age 7 at a place called Kline line Ponds.
Ever since then I have been hooked and have been an avid bass fisherman
for the past 40 years or so. I grew up fishing the Columbia River and many lakes & other rivers in Washington State & Oregon. I bought my first bass boat a Tracker TX17 in 1991 brand new for 10k out the door. Since those days I have owned well over a dozen other boats (high performance fishing boats). I got into the bass tournament fishing scene in the mid 1990’s up in the Pacific NW (cashed some checks) until about 2005. In 2005 I relocated to West Central Florida and got into the bass fishing scene and also inshore saltwater Redfish tournament scene down there. I learned a lot about sight fishing & topwater fishing while fishing in Florida for almost 10 years. In late 2014 I relocated back to the Pacific NW and got back into the bass fishing scene up there for a couple years. In the fall of 2016 I then again relocated to the South East (TN & KY area). I mainly fished lakes, rivers & creeks in Tennessee & Kentucky for Largemouth Bass,Smallmouth Bass & Spotted Bass. I use all artificial lures. Then in August of 2020 I put the wheels in motion to relocate once again. This time to a tropical island region to pursue saltwater fish species such as yellow fin & many species of sharks. At this time I’m still settling in and getting acclimated after arriving here in the fall of 2020. I’ve done a few beach fishing FB lives since my arrival and plan on doing many more that are fishing related.
To list some of the lakes, rivers & creeks I fished in TN & KY:
Kentucky Lake,Lake Barkley, Marrow Bone Lake,Pickwick Lake,Dale Hollow reservoir,Lake Cumberland, Montgomery Bell State Park Lakes,Cheatham Lake,Old Hickory lake, Percy Priest Lake,Cordell Hull Reservoir,Center Hill Lake,The Cumberland River,The Tennessee River,
The Red River,Tims Ford Lake,Caney Fork River,Sycamore Creek,Harpeth River,Woods Resivor,Lake Normady, Yellow Creek,Nolin Lake,Barren River Lake,Chickamauga Lake.
The equipment I use.
Growing up in Washington State I lived about 15 minutes away from the
G-Loomis rod factory. G-Loomis back in the 1980’s had sort of a local
cult following of local NW anglers like myself.I have been using nothing but G-Loomis rods for well over 30 years now and love them. They’ve always had a great warranty program and they produce some great rods.
All the current reels I own & use are Okuma’s (I got rid of all my Shimano’s back in 2014) – mainly the Helios models due to the light weight and the great price.
As for tackle & line,I use a variety of stuff, far too much to list. I enjoy finesse fishing ,topwater fishing ,power fishing.Saltwater fishing, inshore fishing/nearshore,flats fishing & sight fishing.
*NOTICE some of my social media posts are delayed – just as many other fisherman do when posting to social media. I do not like to blow out fishing spots in real time. My travel posts are always delayed for security purposes. My FB lives are always in real time, but I’m more careful about the locations I choose. I do not like getting grief for blowing out other peoples spots. I believe in practicing proper etiquette.
Well that’s about it…maybe I will add more later.
Thanks for reading & good luck fishing.
